Orange

This has been an interesting year for the leaves changing colors. We have had some beautiful colors and some pretty ugly colors. The oranges and the yellows have been bright. The reds have been non-existent- best case – or fairly ugly.

seasonal ii

Went to a local park this morning. It is a great place to go to walk, take photos or just hang out. Early there was some light cloud cover. As I was standing by this little pond the sun came out. The water was still and the reflection of the trees and the sky was incredible. There was a real 3D effect. I am afraid I did not do it justice but I tried. The color in this image is the reflection. The branches on the right are branches.

seasonal

One of the defining moments for me in this season is carving the pumpkin. I am showing our family pumpkins from 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009. I could not find the 2008 pumpkin. That year my dad was sick and I may not have carved one or taken a photo that year. The pumpkin photo in the upper right is my favorite. That is because it was 2005 and my son was 11. At that time he would still let me take his picture without grumbling!

Tranquility

I confess that I got the idea to use this image from one of Jens’ images! I took this on Cape Cod this past summer. Hamburgers, corn on the cob, Pinot Noir and good friends all while overlooking Buzzards Bay. Who can ask for more?! I really liked the light light from the setting sun.

Translucent

My granddaughter loves chasing bubbles. This photo just focused on her hands as she tried to catch the bubbles. I don’t remember if she got this one or not! Tammy beat me to uploading a child and their bubbles!

Motion

We were on a friend’s boat with some other friends and our kids. The first mate started throwing bread into the water attracting a whole lot of seagulls.  She quickly stopped throwing the bread. As soon as the bread was gone, so were the seagulls! I was the only one happy as I just started taking pictures. For me it was great fun!
