insignificant

This was taken on our way home from our Yellowstone/Grand Teton trip. Here are the two things that seem to highlight for me my insignificance in the scheme of things (think globally – not necessarily in my little world). One is flying. Almost everything seems insignificant from 30,000 feet. I say almost because the Grand Tetons, Grand Canyon and other natural wonders always seem significant.Additionally these natural wonders always make me feel “insignificant” next to their grandeur.

Spectacular – tough to get nice crisp shots through scuffy airplane windows.

Having been to both those places a few years ago, I can understand your feeling about them. That huge bank of clouds that dwarf the mountains that dwarf us certainly expresses that feeling well.

Amazing shot from a plane! I like the layers from bottom to top… I also agree with your thoughts on this shot.
